We transfer to Yangon Railways Station where we have a chance to journey by circular train through Yangon city to experience local travel lifestyle. A ride on the Circular train will give you a unique perspective on daily life in the city and the area around it. And you can also see the scenery change from city to rural, and pass by ponds, villages and scenes of farm life. We arrive to Kyee Myint Daing station – one of the colonial buildings and we take a local trishaw around Kyee Myint Daing for a few minutes. Then we visit to the 2,500 years old magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda sheathed in 11 tons of pure gold and 4,350 diamonds weighing 1800 carats!
Please note the Dress Code: There are strict dress codes for visiting the Pagodas. Visitors must be properly dressed before being allowed entry to the Shwedagone Pagoda. Men must wear long pants and shirts with sleeves - no sleeveless tops. Women must be similarly modestly dressed. No see-through clothes, bare shoulders, etc. If you show up at the front gate improperly dressed, there is a booth near the entry that can provide clothes to cover you up properly.
Dress standards are conservative throughout Asia, especially outside major cities. To respect this and for your own comfort, we strongly recommend modest clothing, especially when visiting Pagodas. This means clothing that covers your shoulders and knees. Loose, lightweight, long clothing is both respectful and cool in the predominantly hot Asian climate.
