Day 1Yangon Arrival

Mingalar-bar! Upon your arrival to Yangon International airport, you will be welcomed by BFF Travel Team and transfer to your hotel. After hotel check-in, you could take a rest for the whole day at the hotel or you have a chance to explore Yangon city by yourself. Overnight stay in Yangon.

OPTIONAL: A VISIT TO SHWEDAGON PAGODA

A visit to the 2,500 years old magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda sheathed in 11 tons of pure gold and 4,350 diamons weighing 1800 carats! The best time to visit there is the late afternoon before sunset because at sunset, the Shwedagon offers visitors a spectacular show of lights and shadows.

Day 2Yangon Free Day

Breakfast at the hotel. You could take a rest for the whole day at the hotel or you have a chance to explore Yangon city by yourself. Overnight stay in Yangon.

OPTIONAL: EXPLORE THE CITY CENTER OF YANGON (HALF DAY)

Your journey begins with a tour through the colonial-style city center of Yangon. At first, we visit to Sule Paya stupa – built over 2,000 years ago and then the beautiful Maha Bandula Park with the Independence Monument. Next we take a walk through some of colonial buildings and visit the historic Post office and the heritage Strand Hotel. Continue with short drive to bustling Bogyoke (Scotts) Market – one of famous markets where hundreds of gemstone, handicrafts, art, clothes and food stores are tucked in a maze of color. (Please note that the market is closed on Mondays and on public holidays)

OPTIONAL: YANGON CITY TOUR (FULL DAY)

In the morning we visit to the 2,500 years old magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda sheathed in 11 tons of pure gold and 4,350 diamonds weighing 1800 carats! Next we visit to Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda which houses a 70m long Reclining Buddha image and the green Kandawgyi Park and its highlighted Karaweik barge- a replica of the royal barge. We proceed to bustling Bogyoke (Scotts) Market – one of famous markets where hundreds of gemstone, handicrafts, art, clothes and food stores are tucked in a maze of color. (Please note that the market is closed on Mondays and on public holidays)

In the afternoon we transfer to Yangon Railways Station where we have a chance to journey by circular train through Yangon city to experience local travel lifestyle. A ride on the Circular train will give you a unique perspective on daily life in the city and the area around it. And you can also see the scenery change from city to rural, and pass by ponds, villages and scenes of farm life. We arrive to Kyee Myint Daing station – one of the colonial buildings and we take a local trishaw around Kyee Myint Daing for a few minutes. Then we visit to the local market Kyee Myint Daing gives us a glimpse into local life.

OPTIONAL: EXCURSION TO DALA & TWANTE (POTTERY VILLAGE)

Our journey out of Yangon starts with a transfer to Pansondan jetty, from where we cross Yangon river by local ferry to Dala village. We explore to Dala village by local trishaw – a three-wheeled bicycle taxi that maneuvers us through small lanes, market streets and friendly village neighborhoods. We explore the daily activities of Burmese locals and get a feel for the authentic rural lifestyle of Myanmar. Next we drive to Twante is known for its generation’s old industry producing some of Myanmar’s best terracotta. A visit to some local workshops meet the laborers and learn the process of making famous pots and other items with traditional methods and burning them in kilns. We continue visit to 75m high stupa Shwesandaw Pagoda. After that, we return back to Yangon by car.

Day 3Yangon Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. We transfer to Yangon International Airport for your departure.
