Mingalar-bar! Upon your arrival to Yangon International airport, you will be welcomed by BFF Travel guide and transfer to your hotel. En route stop, we visit to Kaba Aye Pagoda which is significant for its Sixth Synod which was held in its large compound in 1954 and Mahapasana Cave located in the same compound. We continue drive to Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda which houses a 70m long Reclining Buddha image. Arrival to the hotel and make the check-in.
Special Evening we visit to the 2,500 years old magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda shealthed in 11 tons of pure gold and 4,350 diamonds weighing 1,800 carats! Overnight stay in Yangon.
Breakfast at the hotel. We start a day tour in Yangon, a commercial capital of Myanmar and it’s the famous with historical Pagodas and the colonial-style buildings. Firstly we visit to Botataung Pagoda , a famous landmark on Yangon’s waterfront where one can see Buddha’s hair relic and Nanthida Jetty to see people coming and going for work from either side of Yangon River. After that, we proceed to the historic Post office , built in 1908 as the headquarters of one of colonial buildings in Yangon and then visit to the heritage Strand Hotel , where you will have a chance to taste Burmese High Tea (as own account). Next we take a walk in downtown through the colonial buildings and the local street vendors. After a few walk, we reach to the city center of Yangon where you can take a few rest at the beautiful Maha Bandula Park and take some more photos with the Independence Monument. After relax, we visit to Sule Pagoda , it built over 2,000 years ago. We proceed to bustling Bogyoke (Scotts) Market – one of famous markets where hundreds of gemstone, handicrafts, art, clothes and food stores are tucked in a maze of color. (Please note that the market is closed on Mondays and on public holidays.) Overnight stay in Yangon.
After your breakfast, we take 6 hours’ drive to Kyaikhtiyo well known as Golden Rock –a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaves and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. The rock and the pagoda are at the top of Mt. Kyaiktiyo. It is the third most important Buddhist pilgrimage site in Burma after the Shwedagon Pagoda and the Mahamuni Pagoda.
Firstly we arrive to the base camp “Kin Pun” of Kyaikhtiyo and our vehicle has been stopped at the base camp. Thus, we will take a truck car to be continue to the summit where the Golden Rock located. Overnight stay in Kyaikhtiyo.
Enjoy the beautiful Sunrise on the hill top and breakfast at the hotel. After that, we drive to Bago , ancient capital of Mon and its famous pagodas. A visit to Shwemawdaw Pagoda , built by the Mon people around the 10th century. At 114 metres (374 ft) in height, the Shwemawdaw holds the record for the tallest pagoda in Myanmar. Next we visit to the four huge Buddha images of Kyaikpun Pagoda and the 55m long reclining Shwethalyaung Buddha . After sightseeing, we continue drive to Yangon. En route stop, visit the cemetery of allies and war graves around Htuk Kyan . Arrive to Yangon and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Yangon.
